Legal Regime of Jewelery and Assay Shops (RJOC)
All products sold by Ana Joalheiros in Gold, Silver, Platinum or Palladium comply with Law 98/2015 of August 18th, which establishes the legal framework for jewelery and contrasting services (RJOC).
In compliance with the provisions of Law 98/2015 of August 18, amended pursuant to Decree Law No. 120/2017, September 15, passing paragraphs a), d), e), number 4 of article 64 of this decree law have been adapted and comply with the following requirements:
a) Contain the express indication that the articles are legally marked, when applicable;
b) Contain express information on the metal or metals that make up the articles with precious metal, the respective touches, their weight, as well as, eventually, the type of gemological materials that adorn them;
c) Make available in a visible way the table of marks, in paper or digital format, of the Assay Offices, being able, in the case of electronic availability, a link to the website of the INCM to be created;
d) Contain the express indication that the buyer may, in case of doubt about the authenticity of the brands, resort, for the purposes of verification, to the services of Assay Offices; e) Provide the name of the economic operator, the tax identification number or the identification number of a legal person and the activity title number;
f) Provide or indicate, as the case may be, a link to the Banco de Portugal website through which information on the daily price of gold, silver, platinum and palladium can be accessed, in accordance with the provisions of in paragraph a) of paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of the previous article;
g) Provide a list of registered appraisers for consultation, managed and organized by the INCM, whenever used precious metal items are sold.
3 — The provisions of the previous number do not affect the application of the legal regime applicable to contracts concluded at a distance and to contracts concluded outside the establishment, contained in Decree-Law no. 24/2014, of February 14, amended by Law no. 47/2014, of July 28th.
4 — Violation of the provisions of paragraphs 1 or 2 constitutes a serious offence.
